I have seen videos and pictures of people using an electric "rebar" hammer when building butt and pass log walls. In a video I saw a guy hammered about 3 feet of rebar into a pre-drilled top log done in about 10 seconds. This compares to several minutes per log with a hammer. When you are doing hundreds of these, I can see this method saving you days of hard work. My advice - get an electric rebar hammer!
